Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 12 Samples

Sorry for the delay! You don't want to miss this challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog! Make an Ornament! You can use any medium or surface that you would like! Your ornament must have the following:
  • a stamped image
  • something gold
  • a hanging device

I couldn't find my camera the other morning so I scanned my ornaments.. It worked out okay but I'm sure a photo would have been better. I painted these large stamps (PK-405 and PK-406 Sugar n Spice Boy and Girl)and cut them out. I used double sided sticky foam to pop the gingers off of the surface. They turned out okay but you have to see what our designers did!

For these samples, I used the following:

  • SU Cardstock (solid colors)
  • DCWV Sweet Stack Glitter Cardstock
  • Painting Supplies listed right
  • Making Memories Mounting Squares
  • Nestabilities and Shapeabilities Dies
  • Yellow 1/8" satin ribbon
  • Stickles: Diamond and Yellow

Americana Acrylics: Camel, Honey Brown, Dark Chocolate, Russet, Turquoise Blue, Desert Turquoise, Razzle Berry, Red Violet, Napa Red, Cadmium Yellow, Mustard Seed, Titanium (Snow) White and Lamp Black.

Challenge 11 Sample

Good Morning!

I wanted to make a card for my sister, Mary. My siblings have always encouraged me and given me the confidence that I need to keep designing. Mary and I did a lot of craft shows together for several years before I ever wrote any books or made stamps. :) Good times! Her favorite color is orange and she LOVES her flower gardens! Happy Birthday, Mary!! With my limited time, I totally used this challenge for motivation to make her card.. and almost in time to have it sent to her. I missed that deadline though... and she will get it a couple days late because of the long weekend. :(

Have a great day and thanks for lookin!

Sincerely, KathyJ

I made this card with the following supplies:

These cards were made just for fun by Angelica (my daughter) and I just after they came out. They were so fun to play with!! These characters are from a fun new set by Angelica PK-952 Ocean Fun! I used Copics to color the shark and Angelica used Prisma colored pencils and gamsol to color hers.
